Querencia, Baja Sur, Mexico, is a gorgeous site at the tip of the Baja California peninsula. While the resort is upscale with no amenity spared, the topography and delicate ecosystem proved challenging. The area is solid rock, so burying large pipes for a gravity sewer system would be costly (likely millions of dollars) and devastating to the various cactus and palo blanco trees.
The E/One pressure sewer system uses flexible pipes that require only shallow burial (just below the frost line) and follow the contour of the land. Elevations in Querencia vary from 114 feet to 738 feet. E/One grinder pumps can produced the head required, with a maximum TDH of 185 ft.
